Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. Remove the K71 Transmission Control Module to disconnect the X2 harness connector. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for 11-15 Ω between the control circuit terminal 5 at the X2 harness connector and ground.
- If not between 11-15 Ω
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the Q32A Shift Solenoid Valve 1, refer to Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Replacement
- Test the wiring harness for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the wiring harness
- If infinite resistance
- Test the wiring harness for less than 2 Ω in the control circuit terminal 5 and the harness connector at the Q32A Shift Solenoid Valve 1 end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, replace the wiring harness
- If less than 2 Ω
- Test the wiring harness for less than 1 V between the control circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, replace the wiring harness
- If less than 1 V
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the ground circuit at the Q32A Shift Solenoid Valve 1 end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, replace the wiring harness
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the control valve body.
- If between 11-15 Ω
- Verify the DTC does not set while operating the vehicle under the Conditions for Running the DTC.
- If the DTC is set
Replace the K71 Transmission Control Module.
- If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- All OK.
