Circuit/System Verification

Verify that the fluid level is correct, refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
- If the fluid level is not correct
  Refer to Fluid Leak Diagnosis
- If the fluid level is correct
Engine idling at operating temperature, observe the scan tool Transmission Fluid Temperature parameter.
Verify the reading should be between -40 to +215°C (-40 to +419°F) and change.
- If the reading not between -40 to +215°C (-40 to +419°F) and does not change
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the reading between -40 to +215°C (-40 to +419°F) and change
Operate the vehicle at about 60 km/h (37 MPH) for 10 min.
Verify the scan tool Transmission Fluid Temperature parameter varies by more than 2°C (3.6°F) to verify that the sensor is not stuck.
- If the Fluid Temperature parameter varies less than 2°C (2.6°F)
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the Fluid Temperature parameter varies more than 2°C (3.6°F)
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. It may be helpful to operate the vehicle within the conditions identified from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC do not set.
- If the DTC is set
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the DTC is not set
All OK.
