Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement (LUV)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) .
  2. Remove the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (LUV) .
1 Thermal Expansion Valve Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
6 N.m (53 lb in)
2 Thermal Expansion Valve Sealing Washer (Qty: 2)
NOTE:

Remove and discard the sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
