Preliminary Procedures
- Remove the intake camshaft. Refer to Intake Camshaft Replacement .
- Remove the exhaust camshaft. Refer to Exhaust Camshaft Replacement .

Hydraulic Valve Lash Adjuster Arms Procedure
- Mark the hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms upon removal to ensure installation is in the correct position.
- Lubricate the hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms with engine oil before installing the arms.
