Camshaft Cover Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the ignition coil. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
1 Camshaft Cover Fastener (Qty: 15)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Ensure to follow the tighten sequence shown.
Tighten 
8 N.m (71 lb in)
2 Oil Level Indicator
TIP:  Remove the oil level indicator from camshaft cover.
3 Camshaft Cover

Procedure

  1. Remove or reposition the clips as necessary.
  2. Do not reuse the camshaft gasket. Also use a new gasket whenever removing or replacing camshaft cover.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector as necessary.
  4. Transfer components as necessary.
