Installation Procedure

- Charge Air Bypass Valve Membrane - Install
- Charge Air Bypass Valve Piston - Install
- Valve Spring - Install
- Charge Air Bypass Valve Cover - Install
- Fastener - Install &Tighten the bolts until snug.
- Fastener - Tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
- Use GE-23738-A Vacuum Pump to check for vacuum leak.
- Hose Clamp to Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector - Loosely install
- Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector - Install
- Hose Clamp to Charge Air Bypass Valve Tube Connector - Move into position &Tighten
- Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator»Install — Turbocharger Assemble
- Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Installation »Install
NOTE:
Ensure there is no dirt or debris in the turbocharger housing valve cavity.
NOTE:
The charge air bypass valve piston guide pin fits inside the charge air bypass valve cover guide bore.
