1	Intermediate Steering Shaft Upper Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 49 N.m (36 lb ft)
2	Intermediate Steering Shaft Procedure Place match marks on the intermediate steering shaft and the steering column shaft to aid in installation. If replacing the steering column or intermediate steering shaft, copy the match marks from the OLD steering column to the NEW steering column. Align the match marks when installing the intermediate steering shaft to the steering column shaft. Program the power steering control module. Power Steering Control Module Programming and Setup Center the steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Centering NOTE: If the intermediate steering shaft upper universal joint is difficult to separate, insert a wide blade flat screw driver and tap with a hammer to open up the slot as necessary.

Tighten
49 N.m (36 lb ft)

Intermediate Steering Shaft

Procedure

Place match marks on the intermediate steering shaft and the steering column shaft to aid in installation.
If replacing the steering column or intermediate steering shaft, copy the match marks from the OLD steering column to the NEW steering column.
Align the match marks when installing the intermediate steering shaft to the steering column shaft.
Program the power steering control module. Power Steering Control Module Programming and Setup
Center the steering angle sensor. Steering Angle Sensor Centering

NOTE:

If the intermediate steering shaft upper universal joint is difficult to separate, insert a wide blade flat screw driver and tap with a hammer to open up the slot as necessary.
