Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Chevrolet Trax and 2015 Buick Encore. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the rear brake caliper bracket (1).
- Install new brake caliper bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 100 (74 lb ft).
- Install the upper brake caliper guide pin (1).
- Install the lower brake caliper guide pin (2).
- Install the upper and lower brake pad springs (1).
- Install the outer brake pad (1).
- Install the inner brake pad (2).
- Install the rear brake caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
The lower brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and must be installed in the same location.
NOTE:
The inner brake pad is equipped with the wear sensor.
