Removal Procedure

  1. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  2. Fig 1: Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose And Seal

  3. Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose to Power Steering Pump - Remove
  4. Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Seal to Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose - Remove

    DISCARD the seal.

  6. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose bracket bolt (1) and separate the power steering gear inlet hose (2) from the vehicle engine.
  7. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

  9. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose bracket bolt (1) and the plastic push pin (2) and separate the power steering gear inlet hose (3) from the vehicle frame.

  11. Power Steering Gear Inlet and Outlet Hose Bolt to Steering Gear - Remove
  12. Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose to Steering Gear - Separate
  13. Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose to Steering Gear - Separate
  14. Remove the power steering gear inlet and outlet hose seals (4) from the power steering gear inlet and outlet hoses.

    DISCARD the seals.

  15. Remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the vehicle.
