Removal Procedure

WARNING:
Refer to Brake Dust Warning .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the brake shoes. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement .
- Disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake rear cable connector (1).
- Compress the parking brake rear cable locking tabs and remove the parking brake rear cable (1) from the rear brake backing plate.
NOTE:
Pull the parking brake rear cable forward to remove the cable from the parking brake cable connector.
