Removal Procedure

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
  2. Remove the brake master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement .

  4. Remove and discard the brake master cylinder reservoir roll pin (1).

  6. Remove the master cylinder reservoir (1) by carefully pulling straight upward.
  7. Remove the brake fluid level indicator switch, if necessary. Refer to Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement .

  9. Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir seals (1).
  10. If replacing the master cylinder reservoir, discard the reservoir seals.
