Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Fig 1: Brake Pipe Fitting

  4. Remove the brake pipe fitting (1) from the front brake hose.
  5. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  7. Remove the brake hose retainer (1).

  9. Release the brake hose grommet (1) from the strut bracket.

  11. Remove the brake hose fitting bolt (1).
  12. NOTE:

    Do not reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets.

  13. Remove and discard the brake hose fitting gaskets (2) from the brake hose fitting (3).
  14. Remove the brake hose.
