Installation Procedure

  1. Install the BPMV front brake pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Position, but do not secure, the BPMV front brake pipe to the retaining clip.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the BPMV front brake pipe fitting (1) to the left front brake hose and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  5. Lower the vehicle to access the brake pipe retaining clip.

  7. Secure the BPMV front brake pipe to the retaining clip (1).

  9. Install the BPMV front brake pipe fitting (1) to the BPMV and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  10. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  11. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  12. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
