HVAC Module Drain Tube Caution

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Chevrolet Trax and 2015 Buick Encore. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:

Always ensure the HVAC module drain tube is properly installed and secure following a repair. Residual moisture/water can collect inside the HVAC module. The residual moisture or water should not contact electrical modules, electrical connections, wiring, cables or carpeting. Use clean and absorbent shop clothes to protect these components while removing or installing the HVAC module drain tube and/or HVAC module. Moisture/water is a by-product of normal A/C system operation and can result in interior odors or corrosion/damage to electrical components.
