Removal Procedure

- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the brake hose to caliper bolt (2) from the brake caliper.
- Remove the brake hose (1) from the brake caliper.
- Remove and discard the 2 copper brake hose gaskets (3). These gaskets may be stuck to the brake caliper and/or the brake hose end.
- Cap or plug the opening in the brake caliper and the brake hose to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the park brake cable from the rear parking brake lever (1).
- Remove the upper brake caliper pin bolt (1).
- Remove the brake caliper vibration dampener (3).
- Remove the brake caliper from the brake caliper bracket.
