Assembly Procedure
- Lubricate the new piston seal (3) with brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers for the recommended brake fluid.

- Install the lubricated, new piston seal (3) into the caliper bore.
- Apply a thin coat of brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers for the recommended brake fluid.
- Install the bottom half of the caliper piston (2) into the caliper bore.

- Install the new piston dust boot seal (1) over the caliper piston (2).
- Compress the caliper piston (2) to the bottom of the caliper bore.
- Fully seat the piston dust boot seal (1) into caliper counterbore.
- Install the bleeder valve to the caliper and tighten the valve to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Install the bleeder valve cap.
- Install the brake caliper to the vehicle. Refer to Front Brake Caliper Replacement .
