Conditions for Running the DTC

NOTE:

Any MIL requesting DTCs that may be set should be diagnosed first.

The ignition is in the Run or Crank position.
The ignition voltage is between 11-18 V.
The engine control module has commanded the malfunction indicator lamp ON and OFF at least once during the ignition cycle.
The DTC runs continuously when the ignition is ON.
