Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation - Right Side (LSA)

    NOTE:
    • All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.
    • DO NOT use the valve rocker arm cover gasket again.
  1. Install NEW valve rocker arm cover grommets and use NEW valve rocker arm cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.
  2. Install a NEW gasket (504) into the valve rocker arm cover.

  4. Install a NEW oil cap (1), oil fill tube (2) and seals (3, 4) to the valve rocker arm cover, as required.

  6. Install the valve rocker arm cover (2) onto the cylinder head.
  7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Install the cover bolts (1) with NEW grommets and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  10. Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489), or equivalent, to the threads of the ignition coil bolts (1).
  11. Install the ignition coils (2) and bolts (1) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  12. Install the spark plug wires (3).
