Clutch Pilot Bearing Installation (Non-LS9)

Special Tools

• J 8433  Two Jaw Puller
• J 45949  Pilot Bearing and Flywheel Locator Installer

1. Position the bearing to the rear of the crankshaft.
2. Assemble the J 8433  two jaw puller (2), the J 45949  pilot bearing and flywheel locator installer (1) and bolts to the rear of the crankshaft.

   Tighten the bolts until snug.

3. Rotate the bolt of the J 8433  two jaw puller (2) until the bearing is seated in the bore of the crankshaft.
4. Remove the tools.

5. Inspect the clutch pilot bearing for proper installation.
