Installation Procedure

CAUTION:

Refer to Engine Oil Tank Debris Caution .

    NOTE:

    If any malfunction is experienced that may have caused debris to enter the oil supply, NEW oil lines must be used.

  1. Position the oil outlet hose.
    2. Fig 1: Outlet Hose To Oil Pan

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Using a NEW oil seal (3), install the oil outlet hose (2) and nut (1) to the oil pan. Tighten the outlet hose to oil pan nut to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  3. Using a NEW oil seal (3), install the oil outlet hose (2) and nut (1) to the oil tank. Tighten the outlet hose to oil tank nut to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  4. Change the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LSA, LS3, L99) Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LS7) .
