Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LSA, LS3, L99) Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LS7) .
    2. Fig 1: Oil Tank Inlet Hose And Seal

    NOTE:

    Anytime the oil tank inlet and outlet hoses are serviced, the oil seals must be replaced.

  2. Remove the inlet hose to oil tank nut (1) and disconnect the hose (2) from the oil tank. Discard the oil seal (3).

  3. Remove the inlet hose to oil pan nut (1) and disconnect the hose (2) from the oil pan. Discard the oil seal (3).
  4. Remove the oil inlet hose.
