Installation Procedure

CAUTION:

Refer to Engine Oil Tank Debris Caution .

    NOTE:

    If any malfunction is experienced that may have caused debris to enter the oil supply, NEW oil lines must be used.

  1. Position the oil inlet hose.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Using a NEW oil seal (3), install the oil inlet hose (2) and nut (1) to the oil pan. Tighten the inlet hose to oil pan nut to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  3. Using a NEW oil seal (3), install the oil inlet hose (2) and nut (1) to the oil tank. Tighten the inlet hose to oil tank nut to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  4. Change the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LSA, LS3, L99) Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LS7) .
