Exhaust Muffler with Resonator, Exhaust, and Tail Pipe Replacement (LFX Coupe)

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the underbody brace.Refer to Underbody Brace Replacement (Coupe and Convertible) Underbody Brace Replacement (Convertible Only) 
1 Exhaust Clamp Bolt (Qty: 4)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
48 N.m (35 lb ft)
2 Exhaust Hanger Rods
3 Muffler Assembly.
TIP:  This exhaust system is not serviced as an assembly, but this procedure is for reference only.

Procedure

  1. Remove the exhaust clamps from each catalytic converter
  2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the exhaust hanger rods from the exhaust isolators.

    TIP:  Squeeze the rear muffler hanger rods through the isolators using a suitable tool.

  3. Lubricate the exhaust hanger rods for ease of installation.
