Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (V8)

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Disconnect the oxygen sensors. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 Sensor 1 , and Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 Sensor 2 .
1 Nut (Qty: 2)
WARNING:

Refer to Hot Exhaust System Warning .

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

  • Remove the catalytic to the exhaust manifold nuts from above the engine compartment.
  • Replace the catalytic converter seal.
  • If replacing the catalytic converter, transfer the oxygen sensors over to the new converter.

Tighten 
48 N.m (35 lb ft)
2 Clamp
Tighten 
48 N.m (35 lb ft)
3 Three-way Catalytic Converter
