Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (LSA)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSA, LS3, LS7, L99 Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
  2. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LSA) .
1 Water Pump Inlet Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
15 N.m (11 lb ft)
2 Engine Coolant Thermostat Seal
3 Thermostat
Procedure 
Install a New thermostat housing seal.
4 Thermostat Housing
