Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LTG) , Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LKW) .
    2. Fig 1: Secondary Air Injection Pump Inlet Hose

  2. Disconnect the secondary air injection pump inlet hose (1) from the air cleaner assembly (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Raise and properly support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  4. Disconnect the secondary air injection pump inlet hose (1) from the secondary air injection pump (2).
  5. Lower the vehicle.

  6. Slide the secondary air injection pump inlet hose canister (1) upwards to remove the canister from the bracket (2) and remove the inlet hose assembly from the vehicle.
