Preliminary Procedure Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
1	Instrument Panel Compartment Door Hinge Pin (Qty: 2) Procedure Use an appropriate tool in order to remove the door hinge pins.
2	Instrument Panel Compartment Door Assembly Procedures Disconnect the compartment door dampener string from the compartment door assembly. Squeeze the sides of the instrument panel compartment door assembly allowing the compartment to open past the stops. Disconnect the electrical connection.

Procedure
Use an appropriate tool in order to remove the door hinge pins.

Instrument Panel Compartment Door Assembly

Procedures

Disconnect the compartment door dampener string from the compartment door assembly.
Squeeze the sides of the instrument panel compartment door assembly allowing the compartment to open past the stops.
Disconnect the electrical connection.
