Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the hood.
    2. Fig 1: Hood Latch & Cable

  2. Remove the cable (1) from the hood latch (3).
    3. Fig 2: Radiator Support, Cable & Retainer

  3. Remove the cable (1) from the retainer on the radiator support.
  4. Push the cable (1) and the grommet into the cab from the engine compartment.
  5. Remove the left side hinge pillar trim panel from the body. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the screws retaining the cable handle (3) to the body.
  7. Remove the handle (3) from the body.
  8. Remove the cable (1) from the vehicle.
