Removal Procedure

  1. Ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front .
  3. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  4. Use compressed air to remove debris from the CMP sensor and surrounding cavities.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor electrical connector (1) from the CMP sensor (2).

  6. Remove the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (2).
  7. Remove the CMP sensor (1) from the engine.
