Circuit/System Verification

Engine running, observe the scan tool Engine Oil Pressure Sensor parameter. The reading should be between 103-241 kPa (15-35 PSI).

1. Ignition ON.
2. Verify the engine oil pressure indicator turns on & off when commanding the All Indicators ON and OFF with a scan tool.
   • If the engine oil pressure Indicator does not turn on and off. 

     Replace the P16 Instrument Cluster.

   • If the engine oil pressure Indicator turns on and off 
3. Verify the scan tool Engine Oil Pressure Sensor parameter is 0 kPa (0 PSI).
   • If not 0 kPa (0 PSI) 

     Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

   • If 0 kPa (0 PSI) 
4. Engine running.
5. Verify the scan tool Engine Oil Pressure Sensor parameter is 103-241 kPa (15-35 PSI).
   • If less than 103 kPa (15 PSI) or greater than 241 kPa (35 PSI) 

     Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

   • If 103-241 kPa (15-35 PSI) 
6. All OK.
