Component Testing

Driver Window Switch

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S79D Window Switch-Driver.
2. Test for infinite resistance between the terminals listed below with the switch in the open position:
   • Ground terminal 11 and control terminal 7
   • Ground terminal 11 and control terminal 8
   • Ground terminal 11 and control terminal 9
   • Ground terminal 11 and control terminal 10
   • If less than infinite resistance 

     Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.

   • If infinite resistance 
3. Test for less than 3 Ω between the ground terminal 11 and the control terminal 9 with the switch in the Up position.
   • If 3 Ω or greater 

     Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.

   • If less than 3 Ω 
4. Test for less than 3 Ω between the ground terminal 11 and the control terminal 8 with the switch in the Down position.
   • If 3 Ω or greater 

     Replace the S79D Window Switch-Driver.

   • If less than 3 Ω 
5. All OK
