Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front suspension skid plate, if equipped. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Skid Plate Replacement
  3. Place a basin underneath the vehicle.
  4. Clean away all dirt and debris from the transmission case plug.
  5. Fig 1: Transmission Case Plug

  6. Remove the transmission case plug (1). DISCARD the case plug.
  7. Add transmission fluid until it seeps out of the plug hole.
