Circuit/System Verification

P0412
- Ignition ON
- Verify a click is heard or felt from the KR25 Secondary Air Injection Pump Relay and the KR26 Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve Relay when commanding the Secondary Air Injection System between Inactive and Active with a scan tool.
- If a click is not heard or felt at one or more of the relays
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If a click is heard or felt at each of the relays
- If a click is not heard or felt at one or more of the relays
- Verify the circuit status parameters listed below do not display Malfunction when commanding the Secondary Air Injection System between Inactive and Active with a scan tool:
- Secondary Air Injection Pump Relay Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
- Secondary Air Injection Pump Relay Control Circuit Open Test Status
- Secondary Air Injection Pump Relay Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
- Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
- Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status
- Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
- If Malfunction is displayed

- If Malfunction is not displayed
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify a DTC does not set.
- If a DTC sets
