Reverse Idler Gear Disassemble





1. Remove the 4th gear shaft from the case.





2. Remove the 4 screws from the rear retainer.





3. Remove the rear retainer and the adjuster shims.





4. Remove the reverse shaft.





5. Remove the reverse gear.





6. Remove the 2 cages with rollers and spacer.





7. Remove the cup and rear bearing race from the gear assembly.





8. Slide the gear assembly backward and remove the gear assembly from the case.





9. Using a bearing remover, remove the bearing race from the gear assembly.
