Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement Service and Repair.

2. Remove the rocker arm cover bolts.

3. Remove and discard the rocker arm cover bolt grommets, if necessary.

4. Remove the rocker arm cover.





5. Remove and discard the rocker arm cover gasket.

6. Clean and inspect the rocker arm cover, if necessary. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Cleaning and Inspection Valve Rocker Arm Cover Cleaning and Inspection.

Installation Procedure





Note:
Do not reuse the cover gasket or the valve rocker arm cover bolt grommets.

1. Install a NEW rocker arm cover gasket.

2. Install NEW rocker arm cover bolt grommets, if necessary.





3. Install the rocker arm cover.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the rocker arm cover bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb in).

5. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement Service and Repair.
