Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Warning .

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (LS9) , Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (w/o LS9) .
    2. Fig 1: EVAP System Hoses/Pipes

  2. Disconnect the quick-connect fittings at the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve (7). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Remove the EVAP pipe (2).
