Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the right upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (LS9) , Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (w/o LS9)
1 Evaporative Emission purge Valve Solenoid

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the purge valve wiring harness.
  2. Disconnect the input and output purge tubes from the purge valve.
  3. Use a flat bladed tool to release the purge valve from the Purge bracket.
