Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 GMC Sierra and 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) provides a 5 V reference circuit to the brake booster vacuum sensor and the steering angle sensor. The brake booster vacuum sensor converts the change in vacuum levels in the brake booster into a signal voltage ranging from 0.13 - 3.30 V and is monitored by EBCM.
