Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Sierra and 2010 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Verify that DTC C0710 is not set.
- If the DTC is set, refer to DTC C0710 .
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down. Test for less than 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
- Test for infinite resistance between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 32 of the EBCM connector and ground.
- If not the specified value, test the 12 V reference circuit for a short to ground.
- Test for less than 2 Ω between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 32 of the EBCM connector and terminal 4 of the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor connector.
- If greater than the specified range, test the 12 V reference circuit for open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor. If the DTC resets, replace the EBCM.
