Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X2 at the K20 Engine Control Module.
  2. Ignition ON, test for less than 0.3 V between either the low reference circuit terminal 33 or signal circuit terminal 9 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test both the low reference circuit and the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the A7 Fuel Pump and Level Sensor Assembly.
  3. Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between either the low reference circuit terminal 33 or signal circuit terminal 9 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test both the low reference circuit and the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the A7 Fuel Pump and Level Sensor Assembly.
  4. Ignition OFF, test for 20-300 Ω between the signal circuit terminal 9 and the low reference circuit terminal 33.
    • If not within the specified range, test both the signal circuit and the low reference circuit or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the A7 Fuel Pump and Level Sensor Assembly.
  5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the K20 Engine Control Module.
