Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X2 at the K20 Engine Control Module.
  2. Ignition ON, test for less than 0.3 V between either the low reference circuit terminal 9 or signal circuit terminal 33 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test both the low reference circuit and the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the G12 Fuel Pump.
  3. Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between either the low reference circuit terminal 9 or signal circuit terminal 33 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test both the low reference circuit and the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the G12 Fuel Pump.
  4. Ignition OFF, test for 20-300 Ω between the signal circuit terminal 33 and the low reference circuit terminal 9.
    • If not within the specified range, test both the signal circuit and the low reference circuit or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, test or replace the G12 Fuel Pump.
  5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the K20 Engine Control Module.
