Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool DTC information. Verify that DTC P0340 or P0365 is not set.
  2. Engine idling, observe the scan tool Intake Camshaft Position Active Counter or the Exhaust Camshaft Position Active Counter parameter. The parameters should be incrementing.
  3. Ignition OFF, inspect the engine wiring harness carrying the B23F Camshaft Position Sensor - Intake and B23E Camshaft Position Sensor - Exhaust sensor circuits for the following conditions:
    • Close routing of aftermarket electrical equipment
    • Close to solenoids, motors, and relays
    • If any of these are determined to be a possible source of electrical interference, correct any wiring harness routing or component placement conditions.
  4. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the freeze frame/failure records data.
