Conditions for Running the DTC

P0340 and P0365 - Engine Cranking Camshaft Test

• DTCs P0101, P0102, and P0103 are not set
• The engine air flow is greater than 3.00 g/s.
• The starter is engaged.
• The DTC runs continuously when the above conditions are met for greater than 0.1 s.

P0340 and P0365 - Time Based Camshaft Test

• DTC P0641 is not set.
• The engine is running.
• The starter is not engaged.
• The DTC runs continuously when the above conditions are met for greater than 0.1 s.

P0340 and P0365 - Fast Event Based Camshaft Test

• DTCs P0335, P0336, P0641, and P0651 are not set.
• The crankshaft is synchronized.
• The starter is engaged.
• The DTC runs continuously every medium resolution event when the above conditions are met.

P0340 and P0365 - Slow Event Based Camshaft Test

• DTCs P0335, P0336, P0641, and P0651 are not set.
• The crankshaft is synchronized.
• The DTC runs continuously every engine cycle when the above conditions are met.
