Component Testing

Static Test
- Ignition OFF, remove the B23 Camshaft Position Sensor from the engine.
- Connect the connector to the B23 Camshaft Position Sensor.
- Ignition ON, and engine OFF. Observe the scan tool Intake Camshaft Position Active Counter or the Exhaust Camshaft Position Active Counter parameter. Pass a steel object by the tip of the sensor repeatedly. The parameter should increment.
- If the parameter does not increment, replace the B23 Camshaft Position Sensor.
