The following conditions may also set the DTCs:
- With a DTC set, the engine may crank for an extended period of time at start-up.
- The crankshaft position sensor may be out of range after a hot soak. Review the freeze frame/failure records for engine coolant temperature when the DTC set.
- The ECM uses the camshaft position sensors to determine engine speed and position when there is a crankshaft position sensor condition.
