Conditions for Setting the DTC

P0335 - Engine Cranking Crankshaft Test 

The ECM detects that the engine has been cranking for greater than 4 s without a crankshaft position sensor pulse.

P0335 - Time based Crankshaft Test 

The ECM has no crankshaft pulses received for greater than 0.1 s.

P0335 - Event Based Crankshaft Test 

The ECM has no crankshaft pulses received.

P0336 - Crank Resynchronization Test 

The ECM detects that the time in which 10 or more crank resynchronizations occurs is less than 10 s.

P0336 - Time Based Crankshaft Test 

The ECM receives no crankshaft synchronization gap on the reluctor wheel for greater than 0.4 s.

P0336 - Engine Start Test During Crank 

The ECM receives no crankshaft synchronization gap on the reluctor wheel, during cranking for greater than 1.5 s.

P0336 - Event Based Crankshaft Test 

The ECM receives less than 51 or greater than 65 crankshaft position sensor pulses, during one engine revolution.
