Circuit/System Verification

  1. Engine idling, observe the control circuit status parameters listed below. The parameters should not display Malfunction.
    • HO2S 1 or 2 Heater Control Circuit Open Test Status
    • HO2S 1 or 2 Heater Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
    • HO2S 1 or 2 Heater Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
  2. Observe the scan tool HO2S 1 Heater or HO2S 2 Heater parameter. The amperage should be between 0.3-2.4 A.
  3. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. Or operate the vehicle within the conditions that are captured in the freeze frame/failure records data.
