Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the transmission control lever trim cover. Refer to Automatic or Manual Transmission Control Lever Trim Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the front floor console storage tray. Refer to Front Floor Console Stowage Tray Replacement .

  4. Lift upward and disengage but DO NOT remove both cable Lock adjusters (1) to release the internal cable assembly, one for each cable.

    NOTE:

    The hole of the shift control lever must be aligned to the hole in the shifter base so the pin (1) can pass thru both. The shift control lever will be locked in the 1-2 neutral position. Not using the specified tools may lead to improper shift system adjustment.

  6. Lock the position of the shift control lever with DT-527-A  adjuster (1) or a 5 mm drill bit.

    NOTE:

    The hole of the transmission gear control (2) must be aligned to the hole in the base so the pin (1) can pass thru both. The transmission gear control will be locked in the 1-2 neutral position. Not using the specified tools may lead to improper shift system adjustment.

  8. Lock the position of the transmission gear control with DT-527-A  adjuster (1) or a 5 mm drill bit.
