Removal Procedure

  1. Replace the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
  2. Fig 1: Crankshaft Sprocket

  3. Remove the crankshaft sprocket (1).

    CAUTION:

    Clean the crankshaft sealing surface with a clean, lint-free towel. Inspect lead-in edge of crankshaft for burrs/sharp edges that could damage the rear main oil seal. Remove burrs/sharp edges with crocus cloth before proceeding.

  5. Using the EN-45000  remover (3), remove the crankshaft front oil seal (1) from the crankshaft (2).
