Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, turn the wipers on low speed; the wipers should activate. If the wipers do not activate, refer to Windshield Wiper System Malfunction .
  2. Turn wipers to the OFF position. Operate the windshield washer using the WASH switch. Verify the washer pump activates.
  3. Observe the scan tool Windshield Washer Switch parameter while cycling the WASH switch ON and OFF. The parameter should cycle between Active and Inactive.
    • If the parameter does not cycle between the specified values, replace the BCM.
